Dr. Callum Beck, a sessional instructor in religious and university studies at the ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ, has been awarded a $7,000 SSHRC Exchange Publication Award for his book, The Bridging of the Protestant–Catholic Divide on Prince Edward Island.

Each year, the ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Co-operative Education Program recognizes its exceptional students and employers with the ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Co-op Awards. The winners of the 2025 awards were Jehaan Cooper, Science Co-op Student of the Year; Feyisayo Adediran, Arts Co-op Student of the Year; and Darshanaa Madoo, Business Co-op Student of the Year. 

Convocation is almost here! ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ faculty and staff are invited to attend the Convocation exercises being held from May 12 to 15, at 10:00 am each day at the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre.

Jorge Moreno, a third-year English student at ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ, qualified for the prestigious title of International Chess Federation (FIDE) Candidate Master at the 2026 Canadian Closed Chess Championship held in Montreal, Quebec, from April 2–7. 

Dr. Olive Bryanton (ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ LLD 2000) is one of seven Atlantic Canadians who will honoured for significant new achievements after the age of 70 at the inaugural Top 7 Over 70 Atlantic Awards Gala on May 14 at the Halifax Convention Centre, Nova Scotia.

Health PEI is pleased to announce the hiring of 10 newly graduated Nurse Practitioners (NPs), who will begin joining health care teams across the province in May and June, with additional hiring anticipated in the coming months.

Andrew Halliday, a faculty member in the ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Master of Arts in Island Studies program, will give the next presentation in the Island Lecture Series on April 21, 2026, at 7 pm,  Faculty Lounge (Room 201), SDU Main Building. 

Students in the ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering brought home three gold medals from the 2026 Canadian Engineering Competition, held in March.

The ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Board of Governors approved a balanced operating budget for the 2026–2027 fiscal year at its meeting on March 31, 2026, despite a challenging financial environment.
