The ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Panther Source for Sports Athletes of the Week for September 16–22 are Kayla Batchilder (women’s field hockey) and Luc Doucette (men’s cross country).

The ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ men’s and women’s basketball teams are set to compete at the annual Mickey Place Memorial Basketball Tournament. The tournament features nine teams from across Canada and runs from Friday, September 26, to Sunday, September 28.

Mark your calendars for the 35th annual Open House at the Atlantic Veterinary College on Saturday, September 27, from 10 am to 2 pm and explore the captivating world of veterinary medicine. 

Dr. Joseph Gordon, Biomedical Sciences with AVC and the Memorial Regional Medical Program at ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ, has received national recognition for his innovative use of research and groundbreaking work investigating muscle remodeling in obesity and type 2 diabetes.

ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ students came together with ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Campus Life, ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Student Union, and the ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Office (SV-PRO) on September 16 to paint stones with messages of respect, consent, compassion, and care. 

A new running club has launched at the ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ, led by education student and ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Cross Country standout Jack Roberts. The Panther Run Club is open to everyone on campus—students, athletes, staff, faculty, and alumni—and participants are encouraged to bring a friend.

In September 2025, ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ released an updated version of the ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Review (ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Review).

Dr. Yoko Nakamae, a large animal surgery resident at the AVC, will present her research at the American College of Veterinary Surgeons Surgery Summit, the premier surgical conference for veterinary professionals worldwide.

Every week, ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Athletics and Recreation recognizes student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Panther Source for Sports Athletes of the Week for September 8–15 are Rowan Gallagher (women’s rugby) and Isaac Sommerville (men’s soccer).

To recognize Sexual Assault Awareness Week, the ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Office (SV-PRO), the ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Student Union, and Robertson Library have organized a series of events on the ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ campus.
